Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Sorted Finance is meant to help you arrange money questions—payment sizes, payoff order, savings targets—without forcing a financial dossier onto our servers. This Privacy Policy explains what typically happens when you open https://sortedfinance.com (the “Site”), run a calculator, skim a guide or glossary note, or follow a checklist. Using the Site signals that you accept this policy. If you do not, please stop visiting.

1. Snapshot

No account is required. Amounts you type into tools are intended to stay on your device for the estimate. Loading a page can leave ordinary technical traces with our hosts. If ads run, ad partners may use cookies or similar tech under rules they publish. Privacy mail goes to malikjameel0012@gmail.com.

2. Publisher identity

Sorted Finance publishes educational calculators, decision checklists, a glossary, and written guides. We are not a deposit institution, lender, broker-dealer, or registered advisory firm. Privacy mail should use the address above. We respond to reasonable requests about personal data we actually hold—such as an email thread you started with us.

3. What happens inside calculator tools

Mortgage, loan, investing, retirement, compound-interest, and card-payoff screens are built so balances, rates, and terms you enter are computed locally in the browser to produce an illustration. Those fields are not fed into underwriting, credit scoring, or a hidden household profile on our side. Keeping math on-device is deliberate: the tools stay light and educational.

If you report a bug and include sample inputs in the message, we treat that exchange as ordinary correspondence—not as a durable financial dossier. Omit government ID numbers, full payment-card or bank account digits, login secrets, one-time verification codes, and scans of identity documents. Formula fixes do not require them.

4. Technical records created by visits

Hosts, content delivery networks, and related infrastructure usually keep operational records when a browser requests a resource. Depending on the stack, that can include:

  • Network address and a coarse geography derived from it
  • Browser, device class, and operating-system hints
  • Timestamp plus the path or URL that was requested
  • Referrer data when the browser supplies it
  • Error and performance signals used to keep pages stable

We lean on this class of data to operate, harden, and improve the Site—for example spotting outages, abuse patterns, or dead routes. We do not treat raw access logs as a consumer mailing list for sale.

5. Information you choose to send

Email to us brings your address, subject line, message body, and any attachments. We use that material to reply, fix a guide or tool note, look into a report, or keep a normal business trail of the conversation. We may also use messages to enforce our Terms of Use or respond when the law requires it.

6. Cookies, storage APIs, and similar tech

The Site may rely on cookies, local storage, or comparable mechanisms for basics (serving pages, recalling a simple preference), measurement if analytics are turned on, and advertising when creatives are shown. Essential pieces keep the Site usable. Measurement and ad vendors may place their own identifiers.

Browser controls let you clear or refuse cookies. That can change how ads or optional features behave; it should not break local calculator math that never leaves your browser. Follow your browser’s help docs for steps that match your device.

7. When ads appear

If the Site shows advertising, we may work with networks and demand partners named in our ads.txt file (including RevBid and authorized resellers). Those parties may receive or collect technical signals such as IP address, device and browser traits, cookie or advertising IDs, page URL, and approximate location so they can serve, measure, and refine ads.

We do not pipe the loan balances or rates you type into calculators over to advertisers. Third parties follow their own privacy policies. Depending on where you live, you may have choices about interest-based advertising through industry opt-out tools, browser settings, or device privacy controls. Review those options if personalized ads matter to you.

8. Purposes for processing

Information described here may be used to:

  • Keep the Site running, maintained, and protected
  • Answer messages you initiate
  • Study aggregate traffic so guides, checklists, glossary pages, and tools improve
  • Support advertising when the Site is monetized
  • Satisfy legal duties and enforce site rules

9. Recipients we may involve

We may share information with:

  • Hosting, CDN, mail, security, and similar vendors processing data for us
  • Advertising and measurement partners when ads are on
  • Professional advisors (for example counsel) when the situation calls for it
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires disclosure or when rights and safety are at risk
  • A buyer or successor if the Site or related assets transfer

We do not sell calculator field entries. We do not knowingly sell personal information about children.

10. How long data sticks around

Technical logs usually rotate on an operational window set by the host—often days to months—unless security or legal needs stretch that window. Email threads stay as long as reasonably useful to finish your request and keep ordinary records. Ad partners keep data under their own schedules.

11. Safeguards

We apply reasonable measures for a small educational publisher (including HTTPS where the Site is served that way). No transmission or storage online is flawless. Prefer not to email identity or account secrets unless they are truly required—and for Sorted Finance they almost never are.

12. Younger visitors

The Site targets adults learning personal-finance concepts. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal data, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Cross-border access

The Site may be hosted or reached from the United States and other places. Visitors outside the U.S. should expect that information can be processed in countries whose privacy rules differ from theirs. Using the Site means you understand that cross-border processing can be part of ordinary website operation.

14. Choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Email malikjameel0012@gmail.com with enough context for us to locate and verify the request. We may decline requests that are excessive, unclear, or not required under applicable law.

15. Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” line at the top will move when we do. Continued use after a revision means you accept the new text. For material changes, we may also note the update on the Site when practical.
